Someone bypass the lid switch cut off female part and tape wires together can i buy female part put back together.Dryer runs but stays running with door open.

Dryers dont use a LID switch but the switch is on the face of the front panel where the door closes against it. It was probably bypassed because it was not working correctly. If you replace the female end of the wire which can be done easily you will also likely find that the switch is bad also. Terminals and crimper kits are available to use from most of the big box stores such as Lowes, Menards, Home Depot. WalMart also sells them. If the switch is indeed not working you will need to buy that from an appliance repair shop.

I stop at the Lowes and they have none of the female part.Can you buy the harness  with female part on it. I have a new door switch.The person who had the dryer before me cut off the door switch and tape the wires together.The runs with door open .i want to put back right.Is there any way i can wire the door switch with male part only?

I suggest you take the switch with you and go to an appliance repair shop and ask them for help. The repair personnel probably have a kit in their vans .
