Maytag mah3000aww Bearing wont come out
« on: February 16, 2016, 12:53:11 AM »

I have been attempting to replace the bearings in my washer but I have tried everything I can think of to get the front bearing out, the rear bearing was so corroded it fell apart and the outer metal is still in there (that's a different issue), but the front bearing Wont even budge, I have hit it with PB blaster over and over for nearly a week while hitting on it with a foot long 2 in wooden dowel over and over again and this thing will not budge. Are there any suggestions from anyone on here for something I can try to get that thing out?

Thank you

checkout this thread http://appliancejunk.com/forums/index.php?topic=5563.0

Also check out this site.  It looks like you can rent their puller but it is not inexpensive to do so.
http://www.neptunebearing.com/  this gives a video talking about it

and this is the tool that they will rent you

Again it is not inexpensive but maybe it would do the job for you.

A wooden dowel is not going cut it. Use a half inch steel pipe and at least a 4 pound sledge. I can do most Neptune bearings in less than an hour, no Tony Tool needed.
