Please & thank you.  Got to find out what caused the main hook up for the power cord to be melted.

What I'm wondering is if they have the wrong cord attached to the stove.  It's a 3 prong 30 amp and they have used it with no problem for 2 months. Then this past weekend, the stove sparked in back and tripped the breaker.  The black wire side of the hook up is melted, but the white and red is in perfect condition?

Also, got there and found it was a lde4415st and not the model I requested a service manual for.

:thanks:  I read an installation manual and they want a 40-50 amp power cord, I'm no electrician but a 30 amp power cord could cause this melted problem I take it?

Just read that to about 40 or 50 amp power cord in the installation of this range. After you said that. O0

Yeah I see that. I am not a big fan of that power cord that just slips  under the the screw. I like the round eye let style power cords.

Agreed with DAB. You need the correct cord AND you need a tight connection. It was loose plain and simple.

Looks like the left side with the black wire going to it has been getting hot.
