Thermador Range Hood Model PHI48QS
« on: October 19, 2015, 07:43:57 PM »

We recently learned that the switch in our hood is no longer working, and Thermidor no longer makes the part - i've look at many of  the online stores but no luck.  Since the motor etc are all still working, I'm  hoping to find the part rather than replace the entire hood.  I'm looking for Part #00415397

Any suggestions or appliance junk sites i should check out?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it looks like they are out of stock on the item.  Since it's no longer manufactured, i can't imagine they will get more stock.  Do you know of a place to buy used appliance parts?  We're trying to fix the  unit ASAP since we're in the middle of addressing house inspection items for the sale of our home.  thx.

Ok, sorry and after also searching everywhere I can think of, I wish anyone trying to find your part number 00415397 the best of luck... if you're in the business of making things work, here is a link to a similar switch. I believe the internal guts regulating voltage to the fan are identical but the mounting methods are different. The dimensions of this switch are exactly the same but there is no nut to secure this switch to your vent hood. Take a look at it and if you dont think you can find a way to mount it, you may be able to skillfully replace the internal parts and keep the old skeleton for mounting... this is part # 00415396
