Whirlpool LSC8244BQ0 Washer - stops mid cycle
« on: September 21, 2015, 03:46:30 PM »

My older whirlpool washer stops mid-cycle (when washer is full of water).  There isn't much suds in it so must be the second time it is full.  It happens when I use the Normal and Heavy wash settings.  Happens more and more often - right now about 80% of the time.  All I have to do is move the timer knob a little ahead and it continues with the process.

Does it stop in the same place every time? When you move the timer does it start to agitate or spin?

thank you for the follow up questions.  In the beginning it didn't stop at the same place every time.  Now I am pretty sure that it does.  It starts to agitate when I move it forward.  Appreciate it!

sounds like a timer issue. If it were the lid switch it still wouldn't start by moving the timer.
