Kenmore 106.52552100 Ice Maker - cubes getting stuck
« on: August 22, 2015, 01:38:46 PM »

The cubes are jamming in the plastic portion of the mold, holding up the ejection of the cubes.

I recently installed a reverse osmosis system on the water line - but the ice maker worked fine for two months there after.

I'm sure there was a psi drop involved.

The ice that is hung up usualy seems smaller than normal.

Can I change the amount of water that is let into the ice mold?

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

yes via the small plastic screw on the side
but, increasing the time the fill valve time is on is only a bandaid. If you don't have good water pressure to the water valve it will eventully fail.

I can't seem to find the screw.  Could you tell me where exactly it is?

Thanks again for all the help! I think mine is different. My ice bucket is on the door and the ice maker is installed across the front instead of front to back.  It uses the optic system.

Thanks!  Would you happen to have the service document for the drinking water side too?

Thanks for all the help!  It seems to have done the trick.  Ice hasn't jammed since I increased the amount of water.
