Need some direction . . .

I have a washer that leaks when it starts the rinse cycle.  It only leaks on left side if your standing in front of it.

I have made a video of the issue.

Ok . . .
So I found the leak.

I took it apart and cleaned it up, then reassembled it.  I ran water through it again, but it still leaks out.
I then tightened the clamp while the water was running, but it still leaks.  I torqued clamp down with one more turn, but it still leaks.  Wassup wit dat?
It looks like it's in good condition, just some hard water calcification.  The rubber is malleable and not "brittle/dried".

My "google-fu" has come up with the following replacement parts, if I should decide to replace it in its entirety.

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-injector-valve-nozzle-12001677-ap4009459.html

I'm not sure if these are the right parts.

Should I just replace the entire assembly?
How much should I torque down those 2 clamps?

yes replace the injector nozzle.
injector nozzle
Just tighen down hand tight.
Put the plastic air infuser inside the rubber boot. Then wet the outer edge of the rubber boot with some saliva and side it in to the fill hose on the washer. Don't skip the saliva step or you will most likely end up rolling the rubber boot down off the lip of the infuser and it will leak.

With the age of that washer you may want to consider installing the complete Injector Kit, part # 204660

I heard a plastic barbed waterline coupler from the hardware store will work too. ;)

Thanks for the quick responses!

I am assuming the Injector functions as an aerator for the water supply.

What are the negative effects on replacing the Injector with a plastic barbed waterline coupler?

It is not an aerator. If the fill hose attached directly to the tub there was a requirement to put a vacuum break in the hose so there was no way the clean water supply could be contaminated by the dirty water in the tub. On later machines they attached the inlet spout to the cabinet top where it could spray into the tub.
