Check the water inlet screens to see if they need to be cleaned. You will have to turn the water to the washer off. Then remove the hot and cold hose from the washer and look inside the water valve that you removed the hoses from to see the screens.

Dood it make it through wash? If so are you currently using hot or warm water? I agree with aj, but only on the cold hose.....it may be washing with warm or hot water, then when rinse is called,  no cold may be entering!

Thanks guys,  I did check my water inlets. I even went as far as replacing the mixing valve, still same results, washes and when it comes to rinse it stops and fills very slowly and makes a light buzzing  :(

Maybe be a plumbing problem.Take cold fill hose off and put it in a bucket or the washer to check the water flow out of the hose.May want to look at cold water hose at the washer shut off for a screen in the hose too.Sometime a service man would put a screen washer right in the hose itself.

Floodsafe hoses are known to cause problems too.

Maytag had a screen in the inlet hose at the faucet as first check so to speak. Prevented valves from filling with sediment.

I tried to reply from my cell and it didnt  go thru, So if i have a repeat post I sorry in advance.                           I took hose off back of the machine turned it on and it did seem a little restricted so I removed the screen.  with high hopes i ran it only to have it stop in the same spot just after rinse.

Does it stay full pressure ? May be after a while pressure drop. Try reversing the hot and cold hoses for testing only and see what happens.

I worked on one of these 2 months ago and it had the same issue. It was the lid switch that sits under the back center of machine. The metal arm that controls the spin and fill cycle was bent. I was able to take it apart and and bend the rod to make up the switches in there. Let us know how you make out. It's a rather expensive lid switch assembly.

Hey Guys. back at it again today.  I removed the front panel and there are what appear to be switches on the left front of the machine, nothing to the back center.  this is a stackable  Maytag model LSE7800ACE

Put your model #LSE7800ACE in the search box above and click on Lid Lock (I had to reposition item #11) I don't think that is the correct part in the front left of the machine.

Take the top lid panel off and you will find it mounted under neath the lid (it should be in the back center)

OK,  I took the whole top off and the switch is definitely in the front as the latch is out of the front corner of the lid. It looks like the parts that are exploded in the diagram no# 11.    Is the part no# 7 the switch that may cause this malfunction?
