Frontload Washer Bearings and Seals
« on: September 15, 2014, 11:42:49 PM »

I've attached a list of bearing and seal sizes for common frontload washers.  Some of the seal sizes are unknown because they are machines I haven't worked on yet.  The replacement seals are only double lipped whereas the original seals  usually have three or four lips.  They seem to work fine, because I have many machines that are still working years later with double lipped seals installed.  I posted the OEM numbers for Neptune and LG seals because they're available. OEM bearings are available for LG but aftermarket bearings are a lot less expensive. I get bearings from Usabearingsandbelts.com and seals from ultimateindustrial.com.

Thank you for compiling the front-load washer bearing information.

FYI, today I performed (4) front-load washer bearing jobs, (2) old Frigidaires with the glue-on boot, (1) Maytag Neptune with mechanical timer, and (1) Samsung that is 12 years old.  Only the Neptune was easy, the Frigidaires both were difficult to get boot loose and difficult to get the spider spindle out of the rear bearing.  Samsung spider was also stuck in the rear bearing.  I used an oxy-acetylene torch to heat the spider spindle along with penetrating oil.  Eventually they all came out with a sledge hammer but it was a fight.
