I need to know if it's safe to use a heat gun to remove the Front Drum Bearing & Seal on a Whirlpool Dryer?

Which model?

Sorry, it's a GE Dryer but I used Goof Off to remove old glue then used a Cleaner to get rid of the Goof Off since it's flammable.
However, is it safe to use a Heat Gun (on lowest setting) while removing the Front Drum Seal & Bearing.

I don't think I would. It's really not necessary. Just rip the seal off and glue new one on. If some remnant of felt is left it won't hurt anything.
