Hello!
I've read many of the posts about dryers not starting and none seem to fit my situation so I wanted to see if there's other options.
Yesterday my dryer would run fine and then stop in the middle of the cycle. I would restart it and it would stop again maybe 20 minute later. It sometimes wouldn't restart unless I opened and closed the door several times. I found that if I leaned on the door a certain way it would restart. I got my clothes dry by checking it periodically and restarting when necessary.
Today, leaning on the door any way at all does not start the dryer. I notice that the black tab that the door pushes against when it's closed (guessing it engages the motor) is "floppy". There's no resistance when I press it or let go of it. It just kind of hangs there.
Is this the problem, do you think? How would I go about fixing it?
Thanks for your help in advance!
