Whirlpool Duet Front load Washer GHW9150PW0 MODEL. F11 CODE
« on: March 09, 2014, 10:45:54 PM »

I have tried to resolve the F11 code. I start the diagnostic program. The C:00 fine - Door locks. C:01 starts. Water enters  tub, then fault code F11 appears. Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. I have verified the wire contact and added solder to the contact on the (CCU). I have verified the wire clip leading to the (MCU). All have continuity on board and wire harness. I verified the cold water inlet valve, checked the flowmeter (resistance), dispenser motor and contacts. All OK. I have attempted to bypass the dispenser motor, no avail. Washer will not begin. Back to default f11.  I attempt to skip test program levels. I have reached C:03, C:04, C:05 and C:06. All different levels begin for aobout 10-15 seconds, then the default code F11 returns. Is the CCU at fault or is it the MCU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

It could be either one. I would start by replacing the MCU, part # 8182706.

Why you ask, only because it's cheaper then the CCU, part # 8182695.

Wish I had a better answer for you, but it really is a guessing game when it comes down to the F11 MCU vs. CCU problem on these machines.

Wish I had a better answer for you. If it makes you feel any better the above answer is also the answer I receive from the Whirlpool factor techs when I question them about the F11 problem.

The good news is if you order the parts from the links I posted above you can return the one that don't solve your problem as AppliancePartsPros.com has a great no hassle return policy.

Hi  Mr. A.J. Technical Administrator.

I would like to thank you for your response regarding my post. I have the Whirlpool Duet GHW9150PW0.  My issue was with the F11 code. I have replaced the Motor Control Unit (MCU). The washer is now capable of running the diagnostic test completely without any "F" codes reappearing. Crossing my finger for the future.

Again,

Thank you.....Great help.

another guessing game... expensive when you are at your own acount

it it true to say if the f11 occur at the beginning of the cycle  the fault part would be the mcu and if it happen at the end of cycle  it would be the CCU...   ???
