Surface Burner Controls?
« on: March 27, 2014, 01:38:40 PM »

I have a White Westinghouse model KF450GDD5 range that needs the 4 top burner controls replaced. The part number for the controls are K001311753. alThis part has been discontinued and is no longer available. All the online parts search shows no sub for this part. The closest part number I found was a universal 5303935086. Does anyone know if this will work?

yes the universal switch will work, the shaft has to be broken to length and the proper plastic insert used, do not brake the shaft too short, theres no going back if you do, also pay close attention to the placement of the wires on the old switch, hopefully it will be marked with p,h1,h2,l1and l2. take one wire off at a time p on old switch goes to p on the new switch, l1 to l1, if the old switch is marked with numbers then you will have to figure out where the wires go. h1and h2 go to the burner,p is a wire that jumps in between each of the four switchs, normally blue or yellow in color. l1 and l2 are normally heavy red or black wires. good luck, hope it goes well.
