What is this and where does it go?
« on: March 23, 2014, 10:51:59 AM »

My wife was washing the other day when this piece fell into the wash.  Any idea where it goes?  I have taken the cabinet off, but can't figure it out.  This is a Kenmore 70 Series (24712300).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Jay

Looks like it might be the bottom piece on the lid switch.
No worries until the washer stops spinning and draining. Then you need a new switch

This is one of the good ones. They had this metal guard protector that would guard the switch from being hit by clothes. Put a wire nut on the wires inside the control panel if you don't have any kids that get curious.
