Frigidaire Dryer not Heating
« on: June 29, 2008, 05:08:58 PM »

Model #FEQ1442ES0, this dryer wasn't heating anymore, the motor was running fine and the display gave no indication of a failure. After getting into the top panel, I removed the screws holding the control board in place (let's say I had a feeling) and found the relay to the heat element was in a less than pristine state. Inserted my meter leads into the connector, started a drying cycle, and found I was reading voltage across the relay, but it was never closing the contacts (I still heard the click) of the switch. Repaired the wire terminal connectors, and installed a new control board and now this dryer is heating again.
