adaptive defrost

Electrolux adaptive defrost control not working, refrigerator is defrosting every 6 hours; what can be the problem?

6 hours is not that usual.  If you feel that it's too often the only thing that you can do is replace the adaptive defrost control.  There are only 3 components to the defrost.  The control, the heater and the safety.  But as my grandfather said... if it works... don't fix it.
