not sure where to post this question range hood motor
« on: November 06, 2013, 06:53:46 PM »

Hello please excuse if I posted in the wrong spot.   Nutone/Broan Whisperaire 6500c range hood with a K7448-000 motor.  I have had two of these motors within a year and new fan wheels.  After time it starts to rattle, so I oiled the bushings and all was good for a while.  Started again so I got a new moter......lasted about two or three months same thing.  Oiled it and it was good for a while.  I am paying too much for motors that I may as well just junk the unit.... my 31 year old fan that the builder put in was much quieter.  This thing is a real piece of junk.  Is it that the bushings are actually rattling in the carrier that holds them?  it seems they are held in place by a washer type spring.

I found another moter for it dubbed as the replacement for K7448-000   >>> 10941071 but it is 90 + bucks.. I have spent TOO much buying this piece of junk and buying motors that do not last.  Any suggestions to quiet it up.  It does not get a lot of use, but really disappointed with broan/nutone products.  A waste of my money that I can not afford.

thanks   ron3033
