Model Number: ET18GKXWN10 icon, the customer was noticing water leaking onto the shelves inside the fresh food section of this refrigerator but there didn't seem to be any pattern or reason for it since the unit didn't have a water line running to it. Frost free refrigerators will utilize a defrost cycle to keep the evaporator clear of frost and when this frost is melted, the water will run down a drain and into a pan below the refrigerator. The drain on this particular unit ran into a cup inside the fresh food section and then into a tube that ran down the back of the unit to the bottom. The outlet from the cup to the tube had become blocked by some debris (I will use that term to keep things clean) preventing the water from draining from the freezer section. Once I took the cup and tube apart and cleaned them from top to bottom, the water once again drained properly during defrost.
