I have a IR Thermometer gun to check temps on A/C units. What would cause the refrig temp to be 53 degrees? It was set at 38, just lowered it to 33 to see what happens. Is the freezer (bottom drawer) and refrig separate cooling? The freezer is 1 degree. A week or so ago my wife opened the freezer and there was ice crystals all over the top of the food. I think that was from my kids didn't shut it all the way. Was I correct or was that the sign of this problem?
