LG Steam washer no water!
« on: August 21, 2013, 09:15:14 PM »

Saw a previous post on a similar subject but didn't see a resolution. The thread was old that I'm starting a new one.

Ran two loads without problems and then the third one was DRY when I opened the washer. Checked water supply hose, filter in the hose, filter at the bottom of the washer....nothing obvious. No error message appears and the washer acts normally except when the load sensor starts, no water comes in. Now that I've drained the filter, when I turn the washer on now, it just growls/grinds. This washer is only 10 MONTHS OLD!  The LG repair phone person said they would call me in 3-5 days to set up a repair with someone who services LGs in our area. (We live in rural  Alabama.) In the meantime, any ideas about what else we can try to figure out what's wrong? On another note, anyone know what the warranty is on this thing?! I'm incredibly disappointed that it has failed so soon after I purchased it.

You have a one year warranty with LG to take care of your unit.  Hard to say what is wrong since you're description just says "growls/grinds"  You need to be more specific.  When does the noise happen?  Does the noise happen when the tub is turning or not turning?

Are you sure the water supply works?  Did you take the hoses off and run some water into a bucket to make sure the water flow is ok?
