Kenmore Model #110.24712300 Spinning Issue
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:30:52 AM »

I've been having an issue with my Kenmore Model #110.24712300 washer for a few months now.  It operates normally with a very light load of clothes, but with even a moderate load it will not spin unless I do specific things:

- Let it fill on the rinse cycle, then take it straight to spin
- Sometimes all I have to do is pop the lid and close it again, and it will start to spin normally

If I don't do either of these, the clothes do not spin, the washer does not drain, and it feels hot and has an odd odor inside the washer if I check on it.  It makes all the noises like it should be spinning, but it isn't moving.  Any suggestions as to what this could be so I can repair it myself?

After the rinse the water must then drain and before it starts to spin the timer has to stop the washer for a short time to spin.If it does not you have a bad timer.
