Frigidaire Refrigerator Leaking
« on: June 02, 2008, 09:56:47 PM »

Model #PHSC39EHSS2, this refrigerator begin leaking inside the fresh food section whenever water was drawn from the front dispenser. After verifying the location of the leak was the filter housing, I took the unit apart to find the problem. The water to the dispenser and ice maker enters the fresh food section at the upper right and flows to the water filter before it moves on to the reservoir and ice maker. The water line to and from the filter connect using compression fittings that utilize an 'O' ring to seal them. This particular filter base had one of the 'O' rings folded over so the water line would leak under pressure. If you have extra rings, this is an easy fix, but if not, a new filter base is in order.
