Hello,

I need to replace the termination thermostat on a Whirlpool Gold bottom mount refrigerator but cannot figure out how to remove the freezer rack which appears to have a gear/roller system. The model numer is GX5SHDXVQ00. Does anyone have a link to the repair manual or have they seen this and have any tips on its removal? I removed the two 1/4 inch screws at the front of the track but that still did not provided enough slack to get the rack out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Pull the drawer all the way out.  On each rail toward the back, there's a plastic tab. Push the tabs in and pull the drawer the rest of the way out.

Thanks for the response.

On the bottom of the drawer is a set of glide bars that run inside a molded track attached dto the wall. The end of the track is designed to prevent the bars from pulling all they way out of the track. What needs to be done once the tabs are pushed in and the drawer reaches that point?

Thanks,

Steve

When you push in the tabs, the drawer and rails will slide all of the way out of the tracks.
