F70 error on maytag 4000 series MHWE450WW02
« on: May 19, 2013, 07:47:51 PM »

We are already dealing with another issue with this thing.  My ex sprayed along the backside of CCU on top and sprayed the part where the label is.  He said to wait until today to turn it on.  I did and it powered on but start button wouldn't woprk and gave F70 error.  I unplugged and plugged back in and now no power at all to front module, just a dinging sound.  Was it a mistake for him to spray where there are wires, electrodes and contacts?  I have a few pics. Say hi to the roach in the sec one, sorry didn't notice at first.

I am not a appliance repair technician so this comment is speculation.

I would remove the cover and expose the circuits underneath. There may be bugs and debris may have caused a short on the control board. Inspect the board and clean it with contact cleaner if it shows signs of potential short circuits from debris.

Of course, disconnect the machine from the power before you attempt any repairs.
I used to repair MK56 GFCS RADAR...now, I'm a farmer.
