GE WBVH5200J3WW Front Loader
« on: May 08, 2013, 08:04:34 AM »

The tub on this washer is leaning to the left and noticed that the left rear shock is broken.... I have ordered the shock but was wondering if there where other complications that may cause the tub to lean that I should be looking for or will the damper probably be the cause.... I havent changed one before and noticed from the videos I have seen that when a shock is removed it does not appear that the whole tub shifts... Thanks Brian

These washers are similar in design to the whirlpool front loaders. I would remove the top panel and examine everything. Check the counterweights, Springs, and verify all of the shocks can move freely. If one shock is broken, it can cause the tub to lean.
