Kitchen Aid dishwasher that leaks thru door latch
« on: September 05, 2012, 09:50:57 PM »

Hi everyone, Here a problem that has me stumpped!  Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDS03CTBL2 (stainless steel model), Serial FW0903551.  Customer fell on open door but caught herself so her full weight was not on the door.  The dishwasher was leaking at bottom left corner.  I replaced the left door hinge (arm) part no 8534854, still leaking.  When I removed the front door panel the leak is also comming from the door latch at the top middle of door.  I replaced the door seal (gasket) part no W10112096.  Still leaking.  Any ideas?  Please help if you can.  Thanks, Tom

A Kitchen Aid dishwasher can leak for various reasons. If your unit is leaking, look for the following causes.
•   Not level – a dishwasher needs to be level to work properly. Verify that your dishwasher is level to rule this out as the cause of the leak.
•   Water supply line – if the water supply line that feeds water to the dishwasher is leaking it can look like the dishwasher is to leak. Remove the dishwasher’s cover panel and look at the water supply line connection to see if this is the source of the leak.
