I was seeing the exact same issue with my dryer, and my problem ended up being electrical, but was due to the wall receptacle. It had been installed upside down, and I think over time, the heavy cord caused stress and the plug was somewhat lose in it, i.e., the plug was not making good contact in the receptacle. After replacing the receptacle, the issues went away.
I thought the issue was the control board, but the information in this thread lead me to look at the power delivery instead of the dryer, saving me a lot of time and money.
I know this thread is really old, but it pops up in a google search and I thought it best to update this one to add another possible source of this issue.
