LG DLEX2501 Powers up but turns off when the start button is pressed

I have a LG DLEX2501 dryer that is powering up but shuts off when I press the start button. There are no codes present when I go into the diagnostic mode. When I try to advance through the options it will power off when I hit the start button. I can hear the main relay click/energize, the drum tries to rotate then the display turns off. I have replaced the control board and the display board, checked continuity on everysensor with the exception of the steam side of the dryer. Tried rotating the drum while pressing the door sensor, didn't work. I even tried jumping the sensors with no success. I had a repairman come check it out and he pointed me towards the display board.
This dryer only has 1.5 years at the most of use on it. Please help! I really don't want to buy another dryer.
Thanks in advance for any help with this problem.

Sounds like a INCOMING power issue. Verify 240 VAC at the terminal block. Keep leads connected and power up then press play. Verify power is still there and has not dropped out when machine shuts down. Another way to verify the machine is OK would be to- Unplug from outlet. Flip both HOT(120 VAC) connections and leave nuutral in center of block. Power up and run the machine. It should power on fine and run, just NO heat. What is happening is a house power connection has become so loose, burned, or corroded that when the drum motor calls for some amperage, it opens the 120 VAC leg UNDER LOAD. Last dryer this happened too, had 4'' of BURNT wire in the breaker box due to loose connection. No thermostat, safety, thermister will cause this....

I flipped the leads (moved from one side to the other) red and black nothing happened, same problem. Checked the voltage at the main terminal block, it held a constant 240V.
I will pull the outlet out of the wall and ceck the wire condition next.

After confirming power is good, and main pcb ( NOT display) has been replaced with new and same problem persists, I would trip the belt switch ( TAKES the MOTOR out) and see if it continues to run.

All the power checks out good, there was a small drop on the white relay but nothing I would be concerned with.
I tripped the belt switch and the display stayed on but noting else ran. Does that mean the motor is bad?

There is not much else after MAIN PCB replacement.... Hopefully John or Wild will chime in with some more insightful info as I have never ran into a similar issue.

Post the part numbers of both parts---to verify that they are correct (hopefully not purchased on EBay)

Sounds like you have a voltage problem at the plug or outlet. When you hit the start button, the amps load up to around 18 amps and that there is a slight break in the outlet that's enough to open up one side of the circuit and shut down the dryer. You'll need a volt meter to see this happen. Have an electrician check this.

If the MAIN BOARD is the correct part number (ending with "09")---then that LG tech is correct

What were the dryer symptoms **before** the MAIN and DISPLAY Boards were replaced?

I double checked the board numbers again the control board is correct but the display board is wrong. I will order the correct board and let you know of the outcomes.
Thanks again for everyones help with this issue, hopefully this will take care of it.

We just purchased the LG dlex2650 electric dryer. It worked great for 28 days. One day I turned it on and pressed start button to run cycle and it cut off. Screen went blank. Sounds like almost the identical problem as mentioned before other than model. I had my electrician check the power coming into the wall socket (3 prong). It all checks out. I bought at best buy and they are going to replace the dryer. LG said they could send a tech to repair but since it was under 30 days best buy will replace with new. Once I get the new dryer installed I will reply back. A couple other really weird things happen when the dryer turns off after pressing start. Another breaker on the other side of the main panel trips. This breaker controls two bathrooms and are on completely separate feeds. My electrician is baffled an has no explanation. My old dryer would work fine but looking back even when I pushed the start button on the old whirlpool I would have to hold the start button down for a few seconds or until the drum would spin. In addition, both the old and new dryers would cause the electric stove clock panel and our tv in another room to blink off and then it would come back on right after the dryer started. My electrician moved the dryer breaker to the other side of the main box to even out the electeical loads. This fixed the oven and tv blinking off but a breaker as mentioned above trips when I try to start the dryer. I have a feeling this problem is related to the wiring in the house. Either way a new dryer may only last another 20-30 days if a surge is making it fail. I have my doubts about it being the dryer just because the person that lived here before may not have known exactly how to run wiring. I have found other things that were not professionally done so I have to be cautious. I think the surge of power wore out a component on the dryer. Hopefully switching the breaker to even out the loads may do the trick. One other thing worth mentioning is a wire in the attic looks like it had been chewed on by a rodent or whatnot. I plan to get that fixed or at least inspected. It appears as metal showing not cut all the way through or else a fire or no electric to that circuit would be the case. It is possible a component in LG dryers needs to be beefed up or it is a design flaw but I don't have anything solid to go on just yet. More to come in a couple days.

Find a new electrician.
Agreed. You obviously have electrical issues and whether you killed your NEW LG dryer with the electrical faults or not, a new dryer will most likely NOT cure the problem.

Well the new display board showed up today and is installed. Same problem is still there
I guess the next step is to get an amp meter and see what the draw is on each leg?

I was serious when I said to find a new electrician. Your electrician is baffled and can't figure it out. You need to find someone who CAN figure it out. My guess is you have some bad breakers or a corroded bus bar in your panel. Try turning every breaker off in the panel except the main and the dryer, then check power at the dryer.
