Whirlpool Dryer Not Heating
« on: May 07, 2008, 06:16:37 PM »

Model Number: LER4634EQ2 icon, this unit stopped heating for the customer, so after removing the back cover, I proceeded with meter in hand to check all the components in the heat circuit. I verified I had 240vac at the terminal block and with the unit unplugged, verified continuity through all the thermostats. All checked good so this brought me to the heating element itself, which measured as an open circuit. After removing the element from the heater box, the broken coil tells the tale, this dryer needed a new element . Did a quick replacement and now this dryer heats just fine.
