Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5500XL0
« on: August 14, 2012, 09:45:13 AM »

My 14 months old whirlpool cabrio Model # WTW5500XL0 is not moving forward. Once I laod the machine and press start button, the lid lock light starts blinking and it continues for a while then start washing. When washing is done, it stays there doesn't move forward to rinsing, spinning- nothing. I have to press the start button twice to make it move to rinsing and do the same back and forth for each step. What could be the prob and how can I fix it. I'm not an expert in repair, so write me the details please.

Pop the top, there's a tech sheet/ manual. Most likely a faulty control board.

Correction: was thinking this was original cabrio design. There is a tech manual under the top. It will take you thru a trouble shooting procedure.
