I take it you added new oil after replacing the seal?

Have you had good luck with the oil seal replacement? I was told when I first got into this business to not replace the seal because it will leak again.  So I've always replaced the trans with a rebuilt unit.  The new and rebuilt transmissions are no longer available so I've been condemning them when I find a leaker.

I put back oil till the half way point. I used Dollar General store 30 weight motor oil.
All they do when they "rebuild" one is exactly what I did. Replace that pesky seal, add back some oil, and put her back in.
