Title: Generic oven senson?
Post by: prime311 on May 21, 2011, 12:09:31 PM
I need to replace the over sensor on my oven.  9 months after I replaced the EOC the sensor is shot, after a cleaning run.  Is there any reason to purchase the OEM sensor for 70$ when this 45$ generic part seems identical?

Thanks!
Spence

I would go with the generic. That one looks like a nice one because it has adapters for various type ovens. The generics I sold back in the day came with two wire nuts and no adapters.

You could wire nut the 12 dollar one if the connector is different from what you have.

Oh nice, so the only difference there is the connector.  I have the old one so I can rewire the sensor into that if need be or just use a nut as suggested.  Thanks a ton!

Depending on how much grease your sensor connection has you could bypass that quick connect and see if that fixes it; no parts needed. Seen it.
