Title: LG IE code and service manual
Post by: carlosfj80 on October 06, 2009, 07:02:42 PM
I have had nothing but problems with this LG WM2016CW (http://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Parts?s=t-WM2016CW-%3d%3d) machine >:( It has worked for the last month and we moved this weekend hooked it up and the water is not filling up like it should. Did all the trouble shooting and still it doesnt fill up coming up with an IE code. Sometimes water doesnt even enter the machine. Any ideas would help new to the forum :)

Alos service manual would help as well ;)

Thanks to all!!

WATER INLET
ERROR
Correct water level (2 level) is not reached within 8 minutes
after water is supplied or it does not reach the preset water
level within 25 minutes.
Solution:
Open valves all the way. Clean inlet screens on water valves
Do you have a reverse osmosis system? You gotta loose it fer this machine.

Check the water valve is both hot and cold out? Try hot only. Maybe Jimbo knows. I don't work on these new fangled models. Give me a old fashioned top loader any day.

another thing could be the hoses are backward maybe? these newer models monitor water temp and if it thinks it needs cold water and ain't getting it then it will malfunction.

Do you have flood-stop hoses? I have seen them mess with water flow on some machines... just an idea?
