Title: Is Whirlpool no longer any good?
Post by: Sue on February 23, 2009, 09:59:19 AM
I thought whirlpool was suppose to be such a good company.

With all the problems everyone seems to be having with there whirlpool appliances and all the talk about how there stock is dropping like a rock I have to wonder if they are all that great.

Is whirlpool turning into one big cesspool?

I would say Whirlpool is one of the best appliance manufactures.
Hope I still feel the same way about them ten years from now. :)

A lot of it has to do with the current credit situation, their relationship with Sears, and a host of problems in Brazil right now.

Whirlpool is rock solid. I would be willing to say Whirlpool will straighten out Maytag and return it to the status it once was.

Whirlpool has already shut down the factories that made the "Dependable" machines. I believe they shut down all Maytag factories & are now being made in Mexico. If you look at the new Amana washers they are Whirlpool with a label on it saying Amana. I think they butchered the company. Using the name for sales & make a buck! Remember how good Kitchen Aide was before Whirlpool took over?
