Title: LG LDF5545ST Water Heating
Post by: navagator on January 09, 2021, 11:38:07 PM
I'm considering purchasing an LG LDF5545ST dishwasher and there's something I'm kind of puzzled about.  It doesn't appear to have the normal circular heating element in the bottom of the tub however it has a button for High Temp wash.

How does this unit heat the water?

Thanks

The heater is part of the pump.

Thank you for your reply.

Boy, I don't know if I like that design.  It may work great, but if the heating element went bad you would have to replace the whole pump/motor.  The motor has a 10 year warranty but if the heating element went bad would the company consider the motor bad?
