Title: Electrolux Induction Range Popping Sound
Post by: fixer29 on November 21, 2020, 02:05:02 PM
Electrolux induction range model EW30IS65JSA:  While using the cook top, there was a "pop" from below the range surface and the main breaker switch shut down. After resetting the breaker, the control panel indicated E35. Now the stovetop does not work. The oven still works as normal.

Induction assembly inside the cooktop needs service or replacement.  PN 318329602 Sadly not a cheap part new.

For service you can search Electrolux E35 on eBay, I run that operation but you need to send in to Canada.

Thanks, BN880. I opened up the range top and found a burnt connection on the filter circuit board, which is part of the induction assembly. It looked like a mini-explosion, blackening the adjacent relay and coil. And you are right, the induction assembly is seriously expensive. It runs $1200 to $1400. I was lucky and found one for $690 on Amazon, from a 3rd party vendor. If it is not as advertised, I know I can count on Amazon to back me up on a refund. Here's a picture of my defective board.

Yes  that's exactly what it looks like when it fails, if you have further issues feel free to PM me to fix your old one.  I might even be interested in your old board but you are likely not in Canada.
In any case, I think a new assembly will do the trick if it's legit.

I live in southern California, but I'm originally from Canada! Born and raised in Montreal.
