Title: Maytag Centennial washer model MVMC300XW1 and s/n C20322546
Post by: Thorning on June 24, 2020, 09:55:08 PM
The above model washer given to me as a possible repair job. The previous owner said it would run but the tub would bounce a lot so much so that it would hit the sides of the housing. There do not appear to be any broken suspension springs but the tub does seem to be quite wobbly. Is this a known problem  ? Is there a cure for it ? Need comments from other techs out there. Also I cannot find a parts listing for it.

Could be a bad Agitator Block - pull the tub out and make sure the block is locked in - also check that the locking nut is tight - these Vertical Modular Washers are notorious for work shock tower Rods - the New Ones are more rigid and stiff. Also there are small Springs around shock towers that are suppose to help. Also I've read that some techs even apply light grease to the shock tower cups to help.
