Title: Lint in Kenmore 80 Washer
Post by: bikerjim on January 12, 2009, 12:38:41 PM
White lint and residue on clothes.
I've been told the new machines don't have lint filters.
Other people say you have to remove the inner tub to get at it to clean the soap residue or lint.
How do you do this and is there an easier way like maybe back flushing it?
We have hard water maybe that's the problem.
HELP, Advice

Its probably a scaled up outer tub. You need a special spanner wrench to remove the inner tub. Try filling your washer to full then shut it off add a full jug of CLR into it and top it off too the rim with more water and let sit overnight then set on spin and drain the next day. Run a full load empty to clean out any residue. You may have to do this more than once depending how bad the scale is.

These are all great suggestions. Thanks Guys.
I think I will try them first before trying to remove the inner tub.
Simple is always easier, rather than make this difficult.
By the way do these machines have a Lint Filter of some sort?
Some people say yes others no.
