The above Speed Queen washer  was found to have one of the 4 bolts holding the inner wash tub on to the center hub broken. In order to get this bolt stub out it will be necessary to remove the agitator and the splined plastic drive hub off the shaft. I was able to remove the agitator but the splined drive hub is almost impossible to get off the shaft. I know there is a special tool available for this purpose but am looking for advice on getting this item off w/o buying the special tool. As an alternative this washer is 10 years old  and this bolt has been broken for quite a while. What risk do I take in leaving it as it is ? Any input would be appreciated.
