Hi  Ended up replacing both boards at back of fridge , plus the run capacitor.Unit ran steady for half hour, compressor cutout for about 3 minutes, then
would run a minute& cutout again. No over draw of amps.Has what they call a LG linear compressor carrying a 10 yr. warranty. You were probably right with compressor
being the problem. :thanks:

If the compressor is under the LG warrant, The customer will have to call LG and give LG the  model and serial number.  Also your email address then LG can send a letter of authorization to you, then you can order the part at no charge to you or the customer. Make sure you also get a dye drier also.

I have been using Whirlpool fridge for the past five years, and I felt that it has reduced cooling, and a few days later its light bulb stop working.  It was the right time to call the licenced experts in Phoenix (http://www.electriciansdurban.com/phoenix/) for refrigerator repairing. It helped me to overcome the minor issues instantly. They replaced the rubber gasket and the light bulb, so it helped me to overcome the minor issues instantly.
