Title: LG wm2301h service manual
Post by: 1helpless on June 23, 2015, 10:40:45 AM
Where can I find such a manual? I have found similar LG model manuals, are they compatable?

My washer had suddenly started a jitter. When the drum would want to move, it would rapidly go back and forth for about a half inch and then spin a bit, all the while sounding like it wanted to do something else. The drum spun freely by hand with no noise, so I really don't think it's a bearing. There was also no error codes displayed.  I have pulled the rotor off and the spline looks fine. I tested the stator and got 8 ohms across all three points. I am wondering if it is the rotor position sensor mounted on the stator. Anyway, I have come across some other LG front loader manuals, and am wondering if another model is close enough. It seems the difference in some of the models was just features.

Thanks for any help!

If first number of SERIAL number is 8 or lower, the hall effect sensor is likely the culprit. Also order and install lower stator wiring harness.

The serial number starts with a 9. Anything else I can do?

Yikes. Could still be that lower harness. I would check continuity through harness from pcb to stator and rps sensor while shaking the tub

Would the following be the harness I need? http://www.appliancepartspros.com/lg-harness-motor-6877er1016f-ap4442257.html (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=0&offerid=225193.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252Flg-harness-motor-6877er1016f-ap4442257.html)

I am at work and cannot test it. So I'm thinking of just ordering it anyway so I can get it by Friday.

So, I replaced both the sensor and cable and........it works!!!

I did check the old cable and there is nothing wrong with it, so it must have been the sensor. But, I think that it is wise to change both since it is, for my situation, such a pain to get the machine out and one can figure that the cable will give out eventually.

Thanks for the help. However, I would still like to get my hands on a service manual, for the next time!

I used part # 6501KW2002A (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=0&offerid=225193.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252Flg-rotor-position-sensor-6501kw2002a-ap4440680.html)  for the sensor and part # 6877ER1016F (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=0&offerid=225193.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252Flg-harness-motor-6877er1016f-ap4442257.html) for the cable.

By the way, what is "BAUCE SAUCE" ?
