Title: KUDS30IXWH0 k\a d\w wont hold water

hi guys hardly ever work on d\ws.  this d\w is 3 years old and has worked fine til now. wont hold water. threw in a bucket of water and it drained away. drain hose is 22" from floor. end of drain line is clear and the 4" line it goes into is clear..  any ideas?

What type of drain is it draining into? I would be suspect of a siphoning condition( drain of house sucking water out of dishwasher). You said it is hooked into a 4" drain, I'm assuming that's not a sink drain?? May want to install air gap.

the four inch pipe is the main drain line from the upstairs of the house going behind the dishwasher.  the dishwasher already has an anti syphon kit installed in sink [it's clean].  customer had plumber come out to house and he said the air vent pipe going through the roof had a dead squirrel in it, causing some drains throughout the house to syphon.  after he cleared the air vent pipe on the roof everything works fine.  thanx for the tips guys.

Dead Squirrel??  wonder how high the vent pipe was above the roof.   Never heard of that one before.
