Title: Maytag atlantis intermittently halts prior to rinse cycle
Post by: jdub39 on May 21, 2014, 11:32:50 AM
I have a Maytag Atlantis MAV6257AWW washer that intermittently stops (50% of the time) at the final rinse cycle.

It seems it does it more often on the "super" water level than others (or maybe I just use that the most)

In order to get it to start filling for the final rinse cycle, I simple press the knob and then pull it out and it starts again...

Where do I start troubleshooting??

Thanks!!
Jimmy

Sounds like a bad timer, 22003371.

Sounds like a timer to me also.  Does it even fill or start to fill with water or does it spin out and then just stop?  You can check the water valve for 120v. I also assume this is something that you came home and noticed machine was stuck on rinse.  I ask because some machines will have a motor cool down period, and maytags sometimes I have seen go couple minutes.
But it sounds like timer to me.
So if the valve is not getting 120v then timer is going bad.
