Title: LG WM2010CW occasionally won't power on...
Post by: Jillians on April 13, 2014, 02:32:42 PM
Recently, my washer has decided it won't turn on.  When it happens, I can unplug it and plug it back in and it will function normally.  It continues to work for a week or two, then it "dies" again.  The same thing is happening to a friend's washer - same model purchased around the same time.  I'd like to get ahead of the issue.  Would running the diagnostics tell me anything if the washer is functional once it's powered up?

I should add, when it's "dead" it might as well be unplugged.  Not a light or a beep.

The Main PCB for your model is part, # EBR43249701 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=0&offerid=225193.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252Flg-pcb-assembly-main-ebr43249701-ap5078625.html)

So nothing can be done to avoid the total failure of the board, but letting it fail won't cause other issues?  Anyone know how long it might take from intermittent to total failure?  I did notice that LG has changed the board, so hopefully the new one is more reliable.
