Post by: 4uzindian on October 27, 2013, 02:46:24 PM
just had a new expansion tank and inlet pressure valve installed. heat is hot . but in upstairs batroom the vanity covers part of the baseboard .which is on the return side of the plumging that goes back to boiler.what i hear now that i never heard in the last 40 years is it sounds like the water running .not the gurgling sound you would hear if there was air in the pipes. this sound is not in any other part of house -rancher.it has non adjustable inlet valve. is it to much pressure in boiler ? could it be the pump is making the noise?

Sounds like It could be air in the system. It you have knowledge in doing this, Make sure unit is off and try bleeding air at radiators or flushing water through and out system to bleed air. Also Check that pressure is holding at set pressure on the gauge.
