Title: Selecting HOT water fills with WARM water
Post by: Mayolito on June 06, 2013, 12:55:11 AM

Well this is my dilemma.:
Selecting COLD water, fill with COLD water. (no problem)
Selecting WARM water , fill with WARM water (no problem)
BUT !!!!!
Selecting HOT water , fills with WARM water!!!
For testing purpose, I set the Water Temperature  switch to “HOT” and started to fill with warm water, so  I turned off the cold water valve from the wall , then only  HOT water came into the tub. But as soon as i opened the cold valve from the wall again came warm water to tub.
Both Water valves are working, It looks that water selector is not working. So I replace the Water selector (it is a new electronic module switch) and still not fill only hot water.

My questions are:
the electronic module senses the temperature and does not allow use hot water only.
The new ATC Water Selector has a fault.
Might the Timer be making this?
Is there any other part I should check.
Please Help and thanks

Normal operation. ATC will only allow about 105°-110° hot water.

You can thank government regulations for no more hot washes.  If you disconnect one of the black wires to the thermistor on the water inlet valve, it will fill with hot.  Pop a terminal out of the plug so the repair is reversible, or just snip one of the wires.

Thanks TGOODS!!
I took apart the cabinet and followed the Thermistor wires. two black cables from thermistor came to a connector and from connector came a Pink and a Pink/white cables. The pink goes to water level control and Pink/white comes directly to the Electronic Temperature Switch. So I decide cut the pink/white (tape ends) and now it fills HOT water.
Thanks for your support.
