Title: Whirlpool Dishwasher Stuck on 44 min, won't complete cycle
Post by: frankfolk on May 08, 2013, 10:13:32 AM
Originally the dishwasher (model GU2700XTSS1) stopped mid-cycle and the clean light was blinking. I reset the panel using the Normal-Heated Dry sequence and it displayed a D3 on the display and then 07 and then starts a cycle that last about 16 min. After it completed the diagnostic cycle, I ran a normal wash and it gets stuck at 44min and will not complete the cycle. After numerous tries, it gets stuck at weird times , 53 min, 44 min, etc. Have you seen this before and what is the most likely culprit?
Thank you

There's a problem with the heating circuit.  Most likely a bad heater, W10134009.

Thank you for the quick reply. Is there a easy way to confirm that the heater is bad? Could it be anything else or should I just replace the heater? Thank you

You can check it for continuity with a meter.  Sometimes there will be a visual cue, like a bulge in the element or a burnt terminal.
