Dryer MD4000AZW not heating. I have tested everything that I have researched on-line. Continuity is good on element, fuses, and thermostats. Checked the temp control switch and it is good. What else could I check?

220 volts @ terminal block?

yes, 220v

if 220 volts to dryer, & element, thermal fuses , & thermostat checks ok, then it has to be either motor or timer, did you check them?
-
Not sure how to check timer and motor. Any recommendations to online help for such tests? I also read that some heating elements are grounded and a continuity test will always check good even thought the element is burnt out. Could this be the case with this element?

I can't find anything on the model number you post. Please check the model number again.

MDE4000AZW should be right

MDE4000AZW should be right
You know that's what I was thinking too, but then in the diagram I see a gas burner first and thought that can't be right because they check 220V.
But now I see the diagram shows both a gas burner and electric element for that model. Must be Monday yet. ;)

Here is the service manual for model MDE4000.
Maybe you would find it helpful.

Here are some pages from the service manual that talk about testing the motor.

Also it would be nice if you could let us know for sure about the model number.

Sorry folks...the model number is a Canadian model number which I am sure varies from the States. The number I posted is correct for a electric 220v dryer.
