Title: Sometimes oven stops baking and shows F-10
Post by: 56308 on July 11, 2012, 09:33:47 PM
Frigidaire built in oven
PLEB30S9DCA
Not all the time, but sometime when I bake it will shut itself off and show a F-10.
I have to turn the circuit breaker off and back on to get it working again.
What should I check or replace first?

The most common problem that would cause this to happen would be a bad temperature probe.
Your model oven uses Temperature Probe Part # 316217002 (http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Oven-Sensor/316217002/1015027)

A bad connection between the temp probe and oven control/clock could also cause a F-10 error.
If you don't find any bad connection and after you replace the temp probe it still happens then chances are you have a problem with the oven control/clock.

Your model oven use Control/Clock Part # 316418720 (http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Oven-Control-Board/316418720/1064464)

I would start by checking for bad connection. Then if you have a ohm meter you can check the continuity on the temp probe.
It should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature. Being this does not happen all the time the temp probe may check ok with a meter, but still be the cause of the problem.
